Sacred Arts

Women's Circle

Throughout history, The Arts have been used in a variety of ways to heal emotional injuries, alter behaviours and thinking patterns, increase understanding of oneself and others, develop a capacity for self-reflection and reduce symptoms of dis-ease.

Join Ashley, Creative Mentor and Kim Rooney, Sound Healer as we gather an intimate group of women and explore the therapeutic qualities of Sound and Art Therapy under a Full or New Moon. This magical four hour Circle experience will support you to release anything that no longer serves you and create new intentions for the future.

What is Neurographica Art?
This creative method stimulates new neural pathways by combining art and psychology, engaging the subconscious mind and connecting mind to body. It enables us to process negative emotions such as anger, fear, and insecurity, so that it may be transformed into self-love and self-worth. The best part is - If you can hold a pencil and write, you can do this art form. No artistic skill required! It isn't about the final product, it is the journey and the 'doing' of the art that is transformational.

What is a sound meditation?
Lie down comfortably on a mat, with a cozy blanket over you and pillows under your head and knees, and simply listen as Kim leads you through a guided meditation and plays a variety of instruments around your body. As you “bathe” in the soothing sounds and vibrations, the sound frequencies will slow down your brain waves to a deeply restorative state, allowing your body’s natural healing system to work more efficiently.

New Moon Ceremony Sacred Arts

A New Moon is a great time to check in with yourself and take stock of what changes you’d like to make. The practice of doing a New Moon ritual every month over the long term can bring new perspectives, progress, and manifestations into your life.

The New Moon is especially good for turning inward, reflecting on the past month, re-centering, and setting new intentions to feel more aligned in our everyday life.

Intentions are different than goals, where goals tend to be more external, intentions are about how you want to feel and move through your everyday. In order to set our intentions, many believe it’s important to make time and space to get perspective and clarity. Rituals are a beautiful way to do something nice for yourself and take some quiet time to listen to your intuition and figure out what you need.

In our New Moon Sacred Arts Women’s Circle, we sit with and meditate with the new moon energy. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a selection of crystals to choose from, herbal teas, affirmation cards and oracle cards. We then take a few moments to journal on your chosen affirmation, oracle and crystal and what came up for you. We all ease into a sound healing meditation before you are invited to set your intentions and affirmations before we manifest these into our artwork.

The New Moon Manifest Tree is a beautiful way to set your intentions and values, it allows you to be very clear of your path, first looking at all that you know, your past experiences in your roots, to the present moment in the main body and your intentions, values and manifestations are created in the branches and foliage of your Manifest Tree artwork.

Each month you will create a unique Manifest Tree and you can keep it in your journal to reflect back on it each time a Full Moon cycle comes around. It is a visual tool to help you stay on track with intention setting and a gentle way to make any shifts you need in your daily life.

Joining us in circle allows you time to go within, without distractions or responsibilities getting in the way. The ultimate self-care routine for intention setting.

Full Moon Ceremony Sacred Arts

Lunar living is a way of moving through the world in alignment with the moon cycles. It’s being aware of what phase the moon is in and the effect it has on you personally — and planning accordingly.

The Full Moon is at its most brilliant and attention-grabbing at this time and you might feel the same — wanting to get out there and socialize, connect, or share what’s on your heart and mind.

You could also feel more emotional or intense than usual. This is an expansive time — whatever it makes you feel, fully show up for it and nurture it.

Full Moons are amplifiers. They can help bring clarity, show us what we need to change, reveal truths, and make us want to share what’s on our hearts and minds — all by intensifying what’s already there.

Full moons are a great time for gathering with others and using the collective energy to celebrate the cycle so far, everything that you’ve worked on, and everything you’re releasing.

The Full Moon is a great check-in point. If you set intentions on the New Moon, now is the time to review and be honest with yourself: How’s going? Are you on track? Have you forgotten your intention? What needs to change to integrate that intention?

In our Full Moon Sacred Arts Women’s Circle, we sit with and meditate with the full moon energy.

Upon arrival, you are greeted with a selection of crystals to choose from, herbal teas, affirmation cards and oracle cards. We then take a few moments to journal on your chosen affirmation, oracle and crystal and what came up for you.

We all ease into a sound healing meditation before you are invited to evoke a particular emotion or situation you want to let go of or no longer serves you.

This will be your catharsis.

Each month you will create a unique Catharsis Abstract art and you can keep it in your journal to reflect back on it each time a New Moon cycle comes around. It is a visual tool to remind you where you were at at that time and a time for you to be honest and vulnerable with yourself, to show compassion and empathy with yourself.

What people are saying about Sacred Arts Circles

I loved the process of stopping and focusing on the depths of the conscience during the sound bath; tapping into the feelings and emotions that we tend to suppress and leave unresolved due to our busy daily lives. It was very enjoyable to have something to nibble on. It also possibly helps with some focus... nibbling whilst ‘creating’. Not unlike having the background music… all senses awake and engaged. Having this time all to myself, felt wonderfully indulgent, but very much needed. I loved the special time that was shared within the circle during the creative process. I do find it hard to be vulnerable, but the energy was very positive and supportive. The experience provided meaningful insights, perspectives, reflection and steps toward healing.

I had time to be present with my thoughts and emotions without any interruptions. It was really special.

-Penny G

I adored doing the Neurographica Art and enjoyed all of the art materials… such a treat! The music bath was intense and beautiful, and I really enjoyed hearing everyone’s journey of their own piece of art.

-Corianda R

It was a nice combination of the cards, crystals, affirmations combined with the artwork. It was nice to give everyone the opportunity to share in the space about what theirs meant to them too… think it could have sparked off some healing!
