Art,Wine & Good Company; the perfect companions.
Wine & Canvas

Once upon a time, before I worked in an office or event management, I was a Wine Industry Professional.
Back home in Canada, I grew up working for Wineries. I went to Wine School (yes, this exists) and obtained a Diploma in Oenology and Viticulture, a Master Taster Certificate and Level II Sommelier.
For over 10 years I studied, tasted and worked professionally in and amongst the vines. I have experienced making both table wine and Icewine (we harvested grapes in the FREEZING Canadian winter), vineyard management and giving public tours of wineries that I worked for, but by far Food & Wine Pairing was my passion (still is!)
Wine & Canvas is like a Paint & Sip, but with a big point of difference - not only do I guide your through a painting, I teach you about wine with many themes to choose from. This is a first for Brisbane Paint & Sip experience.
In addition, I will provide some suggestions of wines to help broaden your tastebuds and maybe find a new favourite.

WINE & CANVAS THEMES
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
The only rule here is you have to BYO a bottle of a variety or region you haven't tried before. I will send a list of recommendations.

WINE REGION THEME IDEAS
here we 'travel' to a different country or region to explore terroir, style, grape varieties and culture.
We will paint a themed painting to match the theme.
Each region/ Country has sub-regions and each have their specialty.

OR
Do you have some other theme in mind - just ask! We can do specific regions, vintages, styles or other grape varieties!

For example- if you love Riesling we could get some Rieslings from different countries/ regions to taste against each other and you can choose any painting you like.
